Beyond academia, Fr. Ogbonna is a dedicated Peace Builder and Advocate. He is the visionary behind Pacis in Terra (Peace on Earth), known as the Peace on Earth Charity Foundation. His leadership extends to founding the Peace on Campus Marshals at Imo State University, Owerri, demonstrating a commitment to creating a harmonious and peaceful environment within educational institutions.
As the current Chairman of the Independent State-Based Peace Architecture (ISPA) in Imo State, affiliated with the National Peace Committee (NPC) at the Kukah Center in Abuja, Professor Ogbonna plays a pivotal role in promoting peace at the regional level. His leadership in ISPA reflects a dedication to establishing sustainable peace structure within the State.
Ogbonna adds another layer to his illustrious career as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration and later Academic) at Imo State University, Owerri, Nigeria. This administrative role showcases his commitment to the overall development and effective management of the university. Currently, Professor Ogbonna is the Pro Chancellor and Chairman of Governing Council, Imo State University, Owerri.
